DURING the last two years Cheriton and Tedburn Young Farmers' Club have been raising money for The Children's Hospice South West at Little Bridge House. We have held many successful events to raise money, including carol singing, a promises auction, dung sales and entertainment performances.
Our biggest fundraising was restoring a tractor to auction; this made a profit of £1,554.28. The club bought a Ford 3000 and set about restoring it to its original condition, although there were a few "hiccups" along the way.
After all this fundraising, the club was proud to hand over a cheque for £5,301.35 to Little Bridge House. Club members are planning a visit to the hospice in the near future.
