THE directors of Chagford Show have regretfully announced that the 2021 show will be cancelled.

They have been closely monitoring the current situation and Government guidelines, and although the situation is looking more and more positive, the rules around large outdoor events will not be known until mid June.

The directors said the rules could change at any time making it very difficult to plan with any certainty.

They said their main concern in running the show is with the safety of everyone concerned, visitors, traders, competitors and volunteers.

With the current concerns and uncertainties the Directors felt that cancelling this year’s show was the safest decision.

All efforts are now going into planning the next Chagford Show, which will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2022.
