CREDITON Library celebrated a magical Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday, February 6: The Triwizard Tournament.

Crediton Library was transformed into Hogwarts during the afternoon and staff dressed up as characters from the Harry Potter series.

At 5pm children arrived dressed as wizards, witches and other characters.

The sorting hat chose which of the four Hogwarts’ houses children would join.

Crediton Library First Assistant Beth read a passage about the Triwizard Tournament from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The house teams then enjoyed Potions Class, played Harry Potter Charades, Hogwarts Pictionary and an Aragon game.

Andrew Drayton, Crediton Tesco Community Champion, volunteered and dressed as Hagrid for the event and donated two Harry Potter prizes for the fancy dress competition. Congratulations to Mason and Ella for their winning costumes.

Libraries Unlimited is the charity responsible for running Devon and Torbay Libraries. Harry Potter Book Night is just one of the events in the wide Libraries Unlimited cultural offering.
