SHOBROOKE'S Playing Field has been officially designated as a Queen Elizabeth II Field in Trust. It was reopened by the Lord Lieutenant of Devon, Eric Dancer, second left, to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee which took place in 2012. The playing field received a massive cash injection and new equipment. Pictured at the opening are left, Chris Furse (chair, Shobrooke Parish Council), and from third left, Lesley Browne, Shobrooke Playing Fields Trust, who co-ordinated the renovation; Alex Hancock (The High Sheriff's cadet) and John Lee of Shobrooke, who earlier the same day was appointed The High Sheriff of Devon.
