A CALL My Bluff evening held on May 10 in aid of the FORCE cancer charity was a very entertaining evening.

Three auctioneers from Bearnes, Hampton and Littlewood took along 10 antiques.

Each antique was described in turn by Christopher, Martin and Nick, quiz sheets were supplied and guests had to decide which auctioneer was telling the truth as two of the three descriptions were completely made up.

The last antique turned out to be a Chinese Ming bowl with an anticipated auction price of £10,000 - £20,000.

Sheila Ralph, chairman of the Crediton Friends of FORCE said: “The Crediton FORCE team would like to thank all those who attended, Liz and team at the Rugby Club for their help and use of the room, Tesco and Morrisons for their donation of nibbles and David Oliver for the subsidised pasties.”

More than 90 people were present on the evening and the event raised a net profit of £664 for the charity.
