AT Holy Cross Church, our usual pattern of worship has continued and everyone is welcome to any of the services on offer.
If you want to try something a bit different, there’s a shorter informal service in the Boniface Centre at 9.30am on the first Sunday of the month; praise and worship at The Well (with Exeter Network Church) in church at 6pm each month and mid-week communion in the Lay Chapel in Holy Cross at 10.30am every Wednesday.
There are also a number of social events coming up between now and the end of August. Make a note in your diary of any that appeal to you!
On Saturday, July 12 at 3pm, there is the Exeter and District Organists’ Association Summer Event with a 45-minute recital (including organ and flute) followed by tea and cakes. Entry is free with donations invited in support of Holy Cross Church.
On Saturday, July 19, with the doors opening at 6.45pm for eyes down 7.30pm, there is Meat Bingo in the Boniface Centre with a raffle and tea/coffee.
Looking further ahead, from Thursday, August 21 to Monday, August 25, there will be a Pop-up Shop in Holy Cross, selling bric-a-brac, jewellery, gifts, household and decorative items.
The shop will be open from 10am to 4.30pm daily (open from 11.30am on Sunday, August 24). Drop In to the Pop Up and grab yourself a bargain.
On Saturday, August 30, there is one of our ever popular Quiz and Suppers in the Boniface Centre.
Teams of four to six at £10 per person with 7pm start, a bar, pasty supper and raffle. To book in your team, contact Peter Brewer - email: [email protected] or telephone 01363 774269.
