A BEE week held at Sandford, a collaboration between Sandford School, Sandford Community Stores and Post Office and a local apiary was a buzzing success.

Children made bee hotels, enjoyed tastings of honey and took part in a competition to design a bee-related postcard, the winning entries of which will be sold as postcards in the Stores. First prize winner was Luca Snell (7).

There was a special display of bee-related products in the shop including beeswax wraps to wrap food to be used instead of cling film.
