IN 2010 Steve Brennan and Julie Hazelwood completely gutted and refurbished No 9 and 9a in the Pannier Market in Crediton and it became Ashton’s Coffee Lounge.

The premises had previously been used by Kevin Cooper selling car parts and accessories.

In the 1980’s the shop was MRS 2000 selling bicycles and accessories.

Prior to this Mr J Way converted one shop in to two shops to create a coffee shop and a delicatessen.

The premises have been home to a number of other businesses since the Pannier Market was built in the mid 1800’s.

The premises are now home to the popular Ashton’s Coffee Lounge.

Steve said: “It gets better and better with year-on-year growth and we plan to be here for at least the next 10 years!”
