POND water is warming up and so are all the fish!

Any fish will instantly bring a pond to life. Goldfish come in a rich earthy red or a fantastic lemon colour which really stands out in the pond. Mix in a few Shubunkins for a splash of blue and white to create a multicoloured extravaganza. Sarasa Comets are another popular pond fish and these sport a mixture of red and silvery white with fantails which makes them stand out beautifully. Mix in some Rudd, Golden or Blue Orfe and even Tench to give a big variation in your pond.

For the more serious fish enthusiast only a Koi pond will do and Bow Aquatic Centre specialises in Koi. The centre has a beautiful display Koi pond to inspire housing some prime specimens, the largest being nearly five feet in length. You can feed these fish for only 20p per day and proceeds will go to the Devon Air Ambulance Trust (DAAT).

Bow Aquatic Centre has some stunning top quality Japanese Koi for sale from smaller three inch specimens to larger sizes. Israeli Koi, Ghost Koi and Butterfly Koi all add a variation to the standard Koi and are available along with Sturgeon and Sterlets which make great pond friends for your Koi and can also be tamed so they come up to the surface to feed along with the Koi.
