Community auctions to be held locally

PRO House Clearance, a local family business, will be hosting a series of Community Auctions in the area.

The first auction will be held at Sandford Parish Hall on Monday, March 6 with the hall opening from 4.30pm for sale entries, with the auction commencing at 6.30pm.

Refreshments will be available and everyone is welcome.

Andy, from Pro House Clearance says: "Community Auctions are a great fun way for local people to sell unwanted items, more or less anything goes, garden tools, small items of furniture, small electrical items, curtains, rugs, bric-a-brac... anything and everything… or on the other hand an ideal place to pick yourself up a bargain!

"In the days of recycling and upcycling there is far too much waste, if something can be of value to someone else then why chuck it away, or store it for years in the cupboard cluttering up the place, auction it, you might get a few quid and someone else can pick themselves up something of use to them for a fraction of the new price, it’s a win, win situation!"

For sellers, it is only 25p to enter per lot, with a 15 per cent commission on anything sold, or if you buy something Pro House Clearance will add a 15 per cent buyer’s premium on the hammer price, simple as that, cash only.

Take your items along to the parish hall from 4.30pm, then treat yourself to some light refreshments whilst you sit back and watch the cash roll in.
