LAST Christmas, renowned Devon tenor Thomas Cameron released the charity single “A Million Dreams” with Bow Community Primary School, in aid of the charities CLIC Sargent and Down’s Syndrome Association.
The single saw great success, charting at No. 2 in the Amazon Music charts and in the Top 25 on the iTunes chart. The song was featured on BBC television and radio numerous times and even got the support of Hugh Jackman, who shared the single and a message via Facebook.
This year Thomas and the children have teamed up again and recorded a wonderful version of “True Colours” from the film “Trolls”, originally a big hit for Cyndi Lauper, to raise money for the NHS, a way of giving back to them at this difficult time.
The recording will be released on December 11 and will be available on all major platforms. Thomas invited guests from the music industry to get involved and received an overwhelming response. As a result the following performers appear on the recording: Thomas Cameron: renowned Devon Tenor; Jamie Moses: guitarist with Queen, Tom Jones, Paul Young and many others; Serg Dimitrijevic: Earth, Wind and Fire guitarist; Molly Hocking: The Voice UK winner; George: The Voice Kids finalist; Owen Paul: singer, 80s hit “You’re My Favourite Waste of Time”; Sound of the Sirens: music duo; Sam Hiller: West End director - Phantom of the Opera and Les Misérables; Wildwood Kin: Sony signed trio; Professor Tim Wilson: The Circle, Channel 4; Aine Carroll: The Voice UK finalist; Michael Fenton Stevens: Actor in Mr Bean, Only Fools on Horses, Benidorm and more and Dom Pipkin: musical director and musician with Paloma Faith.
There will be an official music video to accompany the single, available on YouTube and Facebook, featuring everyone that took part.
All the recording was completed remotely, during lockdown and this has really brought everyone together at this unprecedented time.
