A LOCAL author will give a talk at Crediton Community Bookshop, beginning at 7pm on Thursday, November 9.

In his book “Devon’s Spiritual Places” Nick Pannell describes his search for God within the natural beauty of the countryside and coastlines of Devon.

He visits ancient landscapes, tors and churches, explores Devon’s rich history, and discovers spirituality in snowy fields, sun dappled forests, by the sea, birdwatching, and in churches and abbeys.

Nick spent six years researching the different sites featured in the book, including Dartmoor’s Great Mis Tor, Saltstone of Kingsbridge estuary and Buckfast Abbey.

Nick will be talking about his journey, showing photos and signing copies of his book.

Nick was born in Plymouth. He is also author of “Tor Bay: The history and wildlife of Torbay’s dramatic shoreline”.

Admission will be £3 and there will be a donation bar with drinks provided by Grape and Grain Wine Merchants.
