WHEN Clare Davie married a fellow member of Culm Valley Young Farmers' Club she changed her name by one letter. Clare Davie married Mark Davis.

The bride is the eldest daughter of Bob and Julie Davie of West Raddon Farm, Shobrooke. Her bridegroom is the eldest son of Gordon and Hazel Davis of Westcott Farm, Westleigh, Tiverton.

Both are active members of Culm Valley YFC and members of this club with Newton St Cyres YFC formed a Guard of Honour as the couple left the church. Clare had been a member of Newton St Cyres YFC before she moved to Westleigh.

The bride works at an Exeter estate agency and is also a milk recorder. Her bridegroom is a farmer.

After their marriage, they left the church in a pony and trap, took a boat ride on the Tiverton Canal and were met by one of Mark's prize-winning Jersey cows when they stepped from the boat for the pony and trap to take them to their reception at Pugham Farm, Westleigh, which the Davis' also farm.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride's full length off-the-shoulder white gown had been made by the bridegroom's mother, who also made the dresses worn by the bridesmaids.

They were Faye Short, Kelly Reed, Katie Davie, Emily Davis, Ellie Parkhouse, Lauren Parkhouse with William Davie as pageboy.

Best Man was John Snell and the ushers were Tristian and Tom Davie, Richard Stanbury, Kevin Davis and Richard McCabe.

The Rev Keith Gale officiated at the ceremony at Burlescombe Church, the organ was played by family friend, Brenda Persey.

They chose Mexico for their honeymoon and are living at Westcott Farm.
