THE Actors of North Tawton Society (ANTS) will be performing three episodes from the Elizabethan-based series Blackadder II each night, from Thursday, October 10 to Saturday, October 12.
The show will run for around 90 minutes and include two 15 minutes intervals.
Performances will be in North Tawton Town Hall, with doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
ANTS will be performing directly from the original BBC scripts by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, although the challenge has been adapting these to the stage as they were, obviously, written for television!
Tickets are available now from North Tawton Post Office and are just £6 per adult and £4 for 15 and under.
Parents please note that ANTS are performing the scripts as written and they were broadcast after the nine o'clock watershed, so discretion is advised.
ANTS member, Nigel Davies, said: "It is very exciting to try to re-create something that is so familiar to many people, and the blend of the cast fits perfectly with the image of the BBC production.
"Rehearsals are great fun as we rediscover some of those fabulous lines that many of us have been quoting for years!
"We really hope the audiences enjoy our version of this hilarious, if sometimes bawdy, comedy and have a great night with us."
