THERE were 20 tables and one lady flirt at Upton Pyne’s Birthday whist drive, held on May 14.

A lovely lunch was enjoyed by everyone which was supplied by “birthday boy” Rick Rickard, who was 90.

Prizes went to: ladies: 1 Sue Lock, 2 Valerie Hann, 3 Pauline Barriball. Gents: 1 Peter Blight, 2 Sheila Munday, 3 Martin Towse.

David Tavener had a lovely lot of prizes and Sarah Chown was MC.

The next whist drive will be on Sunday, June 4 at 2pm in Upton Pyne Village Hall.
