TWO big names in British comedy are to make appearances at the Plymouth Pavillions in 2019.
Tim Minchin, award-winning comedian, actor and composer, and Rob Beckett have added dates to their upcoming tours at the esteemed venue.
Tim’s tour entitled BACK is billed as Old Songs, New Songs, hinting at a set list of material from all corners of Minchin’s eclectic – and often iconoclastic repertoire.
Minchin has been celebrated globally for writing the music and lyrics for Matilda the Musical, which has gone on to become one of the most acclaimed musicals of the last 20 years.
BACK will mark Minchin’s return to the stage, following several film and TV appearances which earned him a handful of acting accolades, including the Qantas Orry-Kelly Award at the 2017 Australians in Film Awards and a 2016 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor for The Secret River.
He most recently starred in the ABC 2018 comedy series Squinters and will appear as Friar Tuck in the upcoming Hollywood release Robin Hood in cinemas November 2018.
There are two Show dates, Tuesday 05 and Wednesday 06 November 2019

Rob Beckett is back on tour with a brand new stand up show called Wallop 2019. It’s been a busy few years for the ‘Mouth of the South’ and he’s coming to see you to fill you in and make you laugh.
Rob has been on people’s TV quite a lot recently as host of BBC One’s All Together Now and team captain on Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, he is also the star of BBC One’s Live At The Apollo, Would I Lie To You?, Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown, BBC Two’s Mock The Week, ITV’s Play To The Whistle, ITV2’s Celebrity Juice and Sky’s A League of Their Own and Task Master on Dave.
The date for Rob’s show will be Friday 06 December 2019
