BIBLE Month continued at Crediton Methodist Church on June 21, by looking at the book of Ruth - and the title of the reflection was "Obstacles of Love".

The young people’s challenge was to make a picture entitled "Grain and Gratitude" and two families had used rice to make pictures.

The online service was organised by the Worship Team with a dramatised reading.

Glenn Turner introduced an extract from "Shrek" and linked it to the blossoming romance between Ruth and Boaz.

As an immigrant to Judah, Ruth faced discrimination as historically there was tension between the Jews and Moabites.

We were encouraged not to judge people on how they look from the outside and to remember what effect our actions will have on people around us.

Mention was made of the Black Lives Matter. We feel the title should be All Lives Matter.

As an Inclusive Church we stand up against discrimination and accept all people or all colours, creeds, genders and religions into the love of Christ when all preconceptions will fall away and we see each person as an individual.

The service closed with a Hebrew Blessing "Shalom" sung by a virtual choir.

If you would like to listen live to Sunday morning services at 10.30am, please contact the Audio Visual team using the email: [email protected] or telephone 01363 777308.

Individual help will be given to work out how you can best access the worship.
