A CREDITON resident has received a scam letter from "Euromillions People’s International Postcode Lottery Program" informing her that she had won £720,000 in the lottery held on May 28, 2016!
The letter claims that due to a mix up of names and numbers the results were released on June 1, 2016.
The letter claimed that her name was attached to a winning ticket number.
The letter also states: "Please to help us to proceed with your claims, this information must be kept away from the public to avoid unwarranted abuse of the program or fraudulent acts of criminal minded and unauthorized person(s)."
Luckily our reader realised it was a scam, but was worried that others might be taken in as the letter looks so authentic.
