EACH year Sandford Parish Council holds a competition to find the "Best Gardens in Sandford."

Judges walk around the village viewing all the gardens and hanging baskets and select the winners.

The results for this year's competition are:

Best Garden: 1 -Margaret Webb, Bank Cottage, 2 – George and Bette Sandford, 9 Meadowside and 3 – R Hext, 5 Meadowside.

Hanging Baskets: 1- Margaret Webb, Bank Cottage, 2 – Phil and Marj Hawkins, 29 Meadowside and 3 – Graham and Pam Snell, 24 Meadowside.

Prizes will be presented at Sandford Flower Show on Bank Holiday Monday, August 31.
