THE Bell Boat Regatta was held at Shobrooke Park near Crediton on Saturday, June 27 as part of the Crediton Festival.

The event was a joint venture between Queen Elizabeth's Community College Canoe Club and Exeter Canoe Club.

Bell boats are a form of catamaran, which can seat eight to 10 paddlers, depending on their size!

No previous experience was required and bell boats, paddles, helms and buoyancy aids will be provided.

Categories will be for Under 14's (must be supervised by an adult), Under 18's and over 18's.

Each crew got a minimum of three races and there will be demo events between races.

Booking in will start at 10am with races starting at 11am.

Parking, refreshments and toilets will be available on site.
