BEECH Hill Community Co-operative at Morchard Bishop saw several hundred people attend its annual open day in its six-acre grounds, on Saturday, June 26.
Visitors were able to tour vegetable gardens, learn about renewable energy systems, buy from stalls, listen to music and enjoy delicious teas.
There were tours to find out more about the wind turbine, solar panels, log boiler, innovative sewage systems and community compost area, and see the flourishing vegetable growing areas in the Victorian walled garden and front garden.
Stalls on the large lawn in front of the house included plants and craftwork, with local musicians and activities for children and teas with home-made cakes.
