DURING the Christmas Tree Festival at Crediton Parish Church, several members of the First Crediton Scout Group assisted both in the Church and the Boniface Centre Cafe on Saturday, December 3.

At 2pm, the Scouts gathered for a Presentation Ceremony in the Church when Mid Devon Assistant Commissioner George Davey presented his daughter Helen Derbyshire with her Group Scout Leader and District Commissioner’s Wood Beads after completing a training course for this qualification.

George then presented a Five Year Service Certificate to Wayne Vincent.

George is well-known at Holy Cross Church as a Sidesman and also a Crucifer.
