AVID reader Tom Downs (7) was presented with a Devon Library Service Gold Book Track Award at Crediton Library.

Béatrice Coveney, Crediton Library supervisor, presented the award certificate and badge to Tom who has read 100 books.

His favourite books include the Dennis the Menace series by Steven Butler, the Barry Loser series by Jim Smith and the Tom Gates books by Liz Pichon.

Tom, a pupil at Bow Community Primary School, enjoys maths and PE and play football at school and is a member of Queen’s Badminton Club.

As well as reading Tom enjoys looking after his two pet guinea pigs and his dog.
