ART lovers in Devon will have a unique opportunity to add to their collections when a special charity auction takes place this September.

A total of 25 lots have been donated by some of the South West’s leading artists in support of Art4Macmillan, which is being organised by Macmillan Cancer Support.

As well as amazing paintings, the auction will also include beautiful sculptures including Spectra 011, a beautiful piece in glass on a stainless steel base by Ian Marlow, a member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

All of the artworks to be auctioned will go on public display at St Stephen’s Church in Exeter High Street on Friday and Saturday, September 29 and 30. Further works will also be on sale, all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

However, the main event will be a gala dinner at Rockbeare Manor on October 4 where the auction will also take place. Those with tickets to this event are also invited to an exclusive private viewing at St Stephen’s on September 28.

Bridget Hill, Fundraising Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support, said: “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the artists who have donated some exceptional lots.

“This will be a unique opportunity for a select number of art lovers to purchase something very special and help support our charity at the same time.”
