ON Tuesday, December 1, Whitton and Laing, auctioneers, have been asked to sell the contents of Tedlake House, Black Dog, by the executor of Derek Street.

He had lived at the house for more than 20 years and was a local churchwarden.

The sale includes 380 lots of good quality antiques and general furnishings, some Georgian furniture including an Oak tallboy chest of eight drawers with unusual inlaid frieze.

The item is expected to make between £300 and £500.

In the same room there is also an oak dresser, ladderback chairs and dresser base.

Mr Street was particularly interested in early 19th century English blue and white china and this includes a variety of bowls, plates, tureen cover and stand which looked well-suited in the beamed rooms of the house.

Contents are on view on Monday, November 30 and also on the morning of sale from 9.30am.

The sale will begin at 11am.
