THERE was a good attendance of people at the Armistice Day ceremony held at the Crediton Town and Hamlets War Memorial this morning, Friday, November 11.
A maroon was sounded to signal the start of the two minutes’ silence at 11am and at the conclusion of the two minutes.
The Leader of Mid Devon District Council, Cllr Bob Deed, laid one of the wreaths.
Many members of the Royal British Legion, former servicemen and women, Crediton Town Councillors and staff and members of the public attended.
Children from a local pre-school also attended.
