ARE you denied contact with your grandchildren?

If so, a new support group which will hold its first meeting in Crediton on Friday, March 20, could help.

The group is being established by Bernard Little and his wife, Gloria, who have suffered from the problem.

They contacted the Bristol Grandparents Support Group and say they have benefited from the support they were given.

They have now decided to start the Devon Grandparents Support Group.

Bernard explained: "Many people can be denied contact with their grandchildren due to family breakdown or as a result of their children's divorce or separation, drug/alcohol dependency, domestic violence, bereavement or a family feud.

"Jane Jackson established the Bristol group eight years ago and before Christmas I heard her speaking on a Radio 4 programme.

"I got in touch with her and she has been inspiring and helpful."

Mr Little has established the new group and this will meet for tea and cake on Friday, March 20 at 10 Murley Close, Crediton, from 2.30pm.

He added: "We have invited Mrs Jackson to attend and we hope people in a similar circumstance will come along."
