LOCAL couple Yvonne and Norman Rice celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary with a memorable Mediterranean Cruise.

They met at a dance at Lapford and later got married in Lapford's St Thomas a Becket Church on April, 4 1959.

Norman's sister, Gillian Gunn gave them an anniversary cake, which was made by Oliver's bakery, Crediton and was decorated with their wedding picture.

As Yvonne and Norman were away on their anniversary, they are planning to celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family lunch.
