NORTH Creedy Choral Society begins its rehearsals on Monday, September 3.

The Society’s Christmas Concert will have music to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice at the end of World War One.

The concert will include the Benedictus from Karl Jenkin’s The Armed Man, music from Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols, and also from for St. Celia’s Day by Purcell.

In the Spring of next year the Society will be performing Haydn’s Creation.

The Christmas Concert will be held on Saturday, December 8 and the Spring Concert will be in May.

Rehearsals take place at Crediton Methodist Church and start at 7.30pm. New singers will be given a friendly welcome.

The subscription per term is £40.
