A WET and windy evening did not deter members from attending Crediton Flower Club’s November meeting - a demonstration entitled “All kinds of everything” given by Julia Harrison from Exmouth.

Julia, a national teacher, area demonstrator, judge and speaker, skilfully created a kaleidoscope of colours and textures with the use of contrasting containers, plant material and beautiful flowers.

She created both modern and traditional arrangements.

A tall log-shaped container cleverly constructed from long strips of wood formed part of the final arrangement with the use of white gerberas, carnations, eucalyptus, mimosa and antirrhinums. This was joined by a smaller “twin” to set the scene.

Julia’s skill with flowers was matched with her warmth and humour and when giving her vote of thanks, June Harry said what a real tonic the evening had been.

The next meeting, the club party, is on December 10 at 7.15pm in the Boniface Centre. Visitors and new members are very welcome.
