A MORNING spent learning about Polish customs, its history, geography, its capital city, its craft and industries fascinated students at Queen Elizabeth's Community College, Crediton.

Agnieszka Romaszko, a headteacher of the Polish Saturday School in Tiverton, the Anglo Polish Organisation of Tiverton, visited the school to talk to the 12 and 13 year old English students with some from other countries, including Poland.

QECC has a global partnership school, Strzelce High School in south east Poland and Year 8 pupils have been exchanging emails for a year. It also has a link with schools in India and Tanzania, while some pupils have email pals in Salem, USA.

Their cultural session ended with Agnieszka talking about Polish paper craft and everyone making a book mark.
