AS an “extra” following the 2019 annual lunchtime music series, the Music Makers’ presents a one-off “Advanced Students” music recital on Friday, September 13, at 1.10pm at Crediton Congregational Church.

This will feature four promising young musician students, who have attained a very high standard of performance.

Organiser Paul Vincent says: “The idea of this event - which may become an annual fixture - is to showcase the work of some excellent young musicians from the local area.

“They have performed at public concerts several times during their school years, but are now on the point of leaving the area for university or music college. This is, then, a kind of farewell - though with the hope that they will return to play music in Crediton in the future - university and careers permitting!”

Performers include Daniel Richards, from Colebrooke, and sisters Dodie and Robyn Bowman, from Exeter.

As with the lunchtime series, admission is free and all are welcome. Complimentary refreshments will be available from 12.45pm. Donations are invited towards the performers’ travel costs.
