A PROUD moment for 15 years old sportsman Ryan Powlesland when he was chosen to represent England at Taewon-Do.

Ryan trains with his father, Dave Powlesland in Crediton and was chosen to be part of the PUMA England Squad to compete in Cork, Ireland, at the Irish Open European Celtic Cup Taekwon-Do Competition.

Dave said that Ryan put on a fantastic display in some very tough preliminary rounds to come away with a gold in individual sparring award and a silver in the junior male team sparring event.

Overall, the PUMA squad returned to Crediton with a massive haul of medals from the event in sparring and patterns, in both team and individual events.

Dave added: "It is brilliant to see Ryan get these medals, not only for him but also for our school as we are a big Taekwon-Do family at Crediton and Copplestone. We love nothing better than celebrating our students' successes."
