I AM sure like me you are wondering just where that year has gone! It has been a year like no other made so by Covid.
I was delighted to be elected as a Devon County Councillor in May and have spent quite a bit of time getting to know all the villages in my division.
I have done this by attending Parish Council meetings and holding surgeries at Cheriton Bishop, Yeoford, Bow and Copplestone.
One thing I have learnt about being a County Councillor is that the responsibilities of the Council are very wide and so there is a lot of reading to do.
I have chosen to be a member of the Children’s Scrutiny Committee because of my teaching background. It is a fascinating and important committee because children are our future!
As we move into 2022 I hope to get round to as many of you as I can by knocking on doors and hoping that I don’t annoy you by doing so!
I feel that this is probably more fruitful and a better way of engaging than holding surgeries where hardly anybody comes along.
I would like to thank you all for supporting me during this time as your County Councillor and I look forward to meeting you all in 2022, a New Year which may hopefully be less stressful and allow us to get back to something approaching normal! I certainly hope so!
As I keep reiterating the best way to contact me is via my county email which is: [email protected] .
Cllr Frank Letch MBE
