THE Saint Boniface Concert Society will welcome friends old and new on Sunday, January 25, at 3pm, for its AGM and an exciting free recital by the multi-award-winning young local guitarist, Luke Tyrrell, at Crediton Parish Church.

There is no entry charge but donations will be welcome.

Refreshments (tea/coffee and cake) will be on offer.

The Society is a local charity dedicated to bringing outstanding musicians to play in Crediton for all to enjoy.

It acknowledges the generous support of Crediton Town Council and “Making Music”, as well as several music trusts.

The Society has now begun promoting its exciting programme of concerts for 2026, including a return visit from the exceptional Kammerphilharmonie Europa in May.

Great value Season Tickets will be on sale.

The AGM will be brisk and businesslike, with no time wasted! Just a brief report on the Society’s 2025 season and finances, and a quick election of committee members.

The recital promises to be a great treat.

Luke is well-versed in numerous genres, and plays from a wide-ranging classical repertoire including 20th century Spanish music.

He offers unique and diverse recitals, often including rare and neglected works.

He has played at many important venues and events around the UK including the Embassy of Spain, St James’s Church in Piccadilly, Charterhouse, the Royal Greenwich Guitar Festival, and Swansea Grand Theatre.

He has won many awards including the prestigious Allison Stephens Prize for Plucked Strings.

The society looks forward to welcoming existing supporters and new faces to this recital and to the AGM.

Crediton Parish Church (EX17 2AH) has free parking and disabled access.

The Society will be pleased to welcome additional volunteers to help with concerts. You can speak with members on the day or write, in advance, to: [email protected]
