ASHREIGNEY Country Fundraisers held a vintage gathering, car boot sale and auto jumble on Saturday, May 12 at North Heale, which saw a good turnout of tractors, cars and a few motorcycles.
There were lots of stationary engines, Pete’s Bakery with his lovely cakes, a tombola and stall by volunteers from the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. Caterers this year were Jaspers.
There was a lot of interest shown in the lawn mower racing, held at the bottom of the car park field, which was a lot of fun.
One of the organisers, Marion Jewell, said: “We had a good turnout from the public and the weather was very kind to us.
“Our charity this year is the Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team from Okehampton and we also give a little to a small local charity.
“Thank you to everyone who supported us. We also had a draw with 18 draw prizes, mostly donated, thank you.”
Marion also thanked Derek Turner on whose land the event was held.
