ALL THE hard work that has been done, by staff, pupils and parents at Copplestone School, has been recognised with an Extended Services Award.
The school has been recognised for delivering the Extended Services Full Core Offer and has been seen to offer support to both children and adults with provision of after school care, family support services and close links with external organisations such as the children's centre.
Judith Johnson, the director of learning and schools, explained: "Providing this level of Extended Services actively contributes to improving outcomes for children, young people and their families and places schools at the heart of their local community."
Stuart Busby, headteacher at the school added: "We have lots of bright and vibrant artwork to brighten up the school and we have had so many positive comments from parents.
"Four new pupils start this week and the number of pupils coming in to Reception will increase for the September intake, but we are still able to keep class sizes down and have more support staff."
