POLICE were notified just before 9am on Friday, January 28, to reports of a collision involving an articulated lorry on the A3124 at Post Box Cross, Bondleigh Moor, near Winkleigh.

South West Ambulance, a Devon Air Ambulance, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue crews from Hatherleigh, North Tawton and Okehampton and Devon and Cornwall Police attended the incident.

A 49-year-old male driver was located in the overturned lorry, which had left the highway.

The man was treated at the scene for significant injuries and was conveyed by the Devon Air Ambulance to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.
