FIRE crews from Crediton and Danes Castle, Exeter attended a fire involving a boiler within a cupboard in a dining room of a mid terraced property in Sandford earlier this evening, Tuesday, January 18.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was asked to attend the property fire at 4.19pm.

The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and small tools to put out the fire and a thermal imaging camera to check the fire was out.

The property, at the top of Rose and Crown Hill, Sandford, sustained five per cent damage.

The cause was said to be “accidental”.
