POLICE officers investigating a series of burglaries in Tiverton are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

The incidents happened at several properties on West Exe South, Narrow Lane and Amory Road on Monday, September 14, between 3am and 5am.

Property owners reported sheds being broken into with tools, a metal detector and an e-scooter all reported as being stolen.

Inspector Mark Arthurs, sector inspector for Tiverton, said: “We would like to hear from anybody who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the time.

“We would particularly like to hear from anyone who has doorbell or dashcam footage who hasn’t already provided this to the police to get in touch.

“Equally, we would also encourage anyone who has experienced similar crimes and hasn’t reported it to us to do so on our website.”

A 51-year-old man from Exeter has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary. He has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
