DEVON and Somerset Fire Control received several calls to a property fire in the Thorverton area just after 8pm this evening, Thursday, August 20.

Three fire engines from Danes Castle, Exeter and Crediton were sent.

On arrival the crews confirmed that the fire was unfortunately affecting three properties and began work attempting to extinguish the fire using four sets of breathing apparatus wearers with hose reel jets.

A Fire Service update at 9.26pm said: “Crews are currently still on scene making good progress fighting the fire.”

It is not know if there are any injuries.
