MULTIPLE fire crews are currently fighting a fire involving a dormer bungalow at Woodland Head, between Yeoford and Cheriton Bishop.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the blaze before 2pm.

Crews from across the area have attended and a crew from another station is currently on duty at Crediton.

Smoke can be seen from many miles away from the scene.

A Devon Air Ambulance is also in attendance.

Police have closed the road from Yeoford to Woodland Head and in the other direction, from Cheriton Bishop to Woodland Head.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route and it is expected that the road will be closed for many hours.

The property involved in the fire is close to the highway at Woodland Head.

It is not known if there are any injuries.
