DEVON and Cornwall Police are appealing for witnesses and relevant footage following a single vehicle collision on the A30 near Pathfinder Village between Exeter and Whiddon Down.

Officers were called at around 5.50pm on Friday, November 14 following a report of a collision involving a grey VW Transporter on the westbound carriageway.

Sadly, as a result of the collision, the driver of the VW – a man in his 60s from Northamptonshire – was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Officers would like to thank motorists for remaining patient while investigation work was carried out.

The highway was closed westbound until 2am on Saturday, November 15 while recovering and accident investigation took place.
