YEOFORD Community Cider Festival (Yeofest), held in the new Community Hall at Yeoford at the beginning of October, was a great success, raising hundreds of pounds for hall funds.

The event ran from 12 noon until late and hundreds of people went along.

There were more than 16 ciders available for visitors to try, as well as berries, real ale and ginger beer.

The ciders included Black Rat, Chant Cider, Cockeyed Bushpig and Chili Ginger, Green Man, Hecks Kingston Black, and Snails Bank Fruit Bat.

Hot and cold food was also available and there was also live entertainment and games.

Musicians who entertained included Jason Rice, Rob Murch, Pete Matthews and “Acoustic Toaks”.

The festival was the seventh that has been held in the village.

Those who attended were able to take away a souvenir glass as a keepsake.
