MORCHARD Bishop’s 38th Annual Flower and Produce Show will be held in the Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 2 with doors open to the public at 2.30pm.

Admission charge will be £1 and children admitted free. Light refreshments will be available and the prize giving will take place at 4pm, followed by the sale of produce and the raffle.

The Show is open to all Morchard Bishop Parishioners and members of Morchard Bishop Gardening Club.

Show Secretary Richard Jackson would like to encourage as many people as possible to enter the Show, whether expert or not.

In the past, people have been surprised to find they have won a prize even though entering for the first time.

There are nearly 100 classes, including 10 for children requiring various skills.

Most classes are for vegetables, fruit and flowers, but there is plenty of scope for flower arranging, and cookery and a challenging class for “an article made from recycled materials” (recycled, re-claimed and re-loved).
