THE service at Crediton Methodist Church on Sunday, October 31 was led by Mrs Pam Murphy when her theme was “Love is…”.

This was Shoebox Sunday when some 32 shoeboxes were brought to the front and dedicated before being sent via the Devon-based charity (cr2ee) Christian Response to Eastern Europe.

Our gifts will be sent to Moldova, a small country between Romania and Ukraine where the people are desperately poor.

Aid distribution had been halted due to the pandemic, but resumed in July 2021.

Soup kitchens have resumed which are a life-line for many of the desperately poor people. Shoebox gifts are very much appreciated and send the message of love that other people care.
