CHILDREN from Copplestone Primary School took part in activities to celebrate the start of the Football World Cup and to raise awareness of the "One Goal" initiative, which aims to make education a reality for the 72 million children who are currently not in school by 2015.
The children, from orange, red and purple classes (Key stage 2), had a great time making an enormous scarf as part of the "Send my friend to School" initiative.
A total of 140 children designed a section of the scarf which was then signed by the children and stuck together.
It was then displayed on the school field by the children holding it the entire length of a football pitch.
The scarf has been sent to the MP for Central Devon, Mel Stride, to highlight the school's support for "One Goal".
