CHILDREN at Sandford School are passionate readers and the school community were delighted to receive a cheque from the Friends of Sandford School (FOSS) raised by the 100 Club.

Teachers, Miss Wood and Mrs Bradford, who run the library, helped the children to make a wish list of 100 books for the school library.

Both members of staff went to Crediton Community Bookshop to purchase the books, which the children have already started reading.

The 100 Club is just one of FOSS’s avenues of fundraising with their biggest event being the annual Strawberry Fair, which this year will be held on Sunday, July 8, on the school field.
